Freedom

The artist, Shahabuddin Ahmed, has inspired me to paint one of his paintings in my way. This powerful abstract image captures my attention and enables me to create my work in its human form. Through working with his style, I have learnt how to play with long brush strokes and apply vivid colours to show the power of freedom and patriotism in the painting. He makes blank space speak with as much force as the images and his unique painting style helps me to do the same in this piece of artwork. To develop this piece further, I feel I can apply even more bright colours using big flat brushes to show more diversity and power in this artwork. I am particularly nor very pleased with the final outcomes that I have produced due to difficulties of painting with large brush strokes. However, your opinion matters!
